Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Electronica 2020 in Munich was canceled. A solution was sought to give exhibitors and visitors the opportunity to meet and exchange ideas about new products and innovative solutions in the field of electronics, despite travel restrictions.

As an alternative, the world’s leading trade fair for electronic components, systems, and applications was held in a purely virtual format. At Electronica Virtual, which took place from November 9–12, 2020, product presentations, discussions, networking, and lectures were successfully held in a virtual space, and new contacts were made.
